About the artist / Artist's Statement

I do not particularly work within any culture, but I reflect on culture in my work. My engagements in art is an “instrument” for me to live life, feel it, observe it, ponder it and grow with it. Indeed, the common thread that unites my forms, materials and techniques are my continuing interest in - life. It often emanates from the perspective of a woman, as well as our complex relationship with nature -- these issues have been the fuel for much of my works and thinking as an artist.
