About the artist / Artist's Statement
Marisa Keller is a Dutch artist who is living and working in Singapore since 1993. Her latest works play on two main themes that evoke the different dimensions of water on the surface. Her work shows us the remarkably varied and mesmerizing aesthetic properties of water as it interacts with earth, air and light. The submerged meaning speaks of water-based evolutionary roots of life itself and evokes parallels between human sense perceptions and the sensuous tactility of water environments.
