About the artist / Artist's Statement

Printmaker and sculptor Chng Seok Tin has been an active participant in exhibitions, seminars, workshops and other art-related activities, both locally and abroad since 1979. She has held 17 solo exhibitions and participated in over 60 group exhibitions in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Australia, Belgium, UK, France and the USA. Her works are in private and corporate collections in Singapore and USA. Chng Seok Tin is also a prolific writer who has contributed numerous articles and discourses on local contemporary art. To date, she has published 10 collections of prose, satires and short essays and 5 catalogues of her artworks from 1977 to 2001. Chng Seok Tin was also the President of the Printmaking Society of Singapore from 1997 to 2001.
