About the artist / Artist's Statement
Sumei Chew is a painter with keen observations of life and its phenomena. Her works investigates the multi-layered reality of our manifested world and the inherent prejudices in our own perspectives. Her current works feature boldly coloured paintings that use water as a metaphor to convey hints of esoteric truths.
